3 volunteer positions for the WAG event:
Buddy Information:
Buddies are Queen's students hoping to make connections with a participant as they guide and accommodate participants with individual needs throughout the day. Each year's events vary, but examples of activities buddies could be involved in include: swimming, karate, yoga, dance, crafts, boccia, quiet sensory rooms, horse carriage rides and additional sports held in the gym. Many of our participants last year were kids, so buddies are often natural role models who exude patience and kindness.
Event Volunteers:
Event volunteers are Queen's students that help our team run the day. Roles include: running an event station, leading a pod group to different activities, assisting registration and sign-out, guiding instructors to stations, relaying late participant drop offs to group and buddies, directing participants before/during/after the event, distributing lunch, and more!
Volunteer Requirements:
If you have any questions, please reach out to our wonderful buddy coordinators, Calum Karmali and Leeza Gibbons, through the email: [email protected]

- Event Facilitator: run one of the fun events / activities in which participants and their buddies will participant in
- Team Leader: lead a team of participants and buddies through the activities for the day, valid First Aid required
